Occasionally I get organized and upload about 6 months worth of polaroids. Thought I’d share some of my favorites from the past few years! All are type 100 film taken on either my Polaroid 120, or 250. I love the atmosphere this film creates. The image itself feels like a memory.
An empty parlour in Bed-Stuy, a hodgepodge of victorian-esque clothing (including a body drafted corset I made for myself a few years ago), and some teased hair. Thats pretty much what happened last friday with a shoot between Bettina May and I. yup. butt.
http://www.brooklyn-betty.com My good friend Michael Lythcott has graciously set me up with a website. Just a basic splash page for now, the site will soon feature some blog entries of whats going on with the company, some interesting opportunities for companies to advertise through Brooklyn Betty, and a calendar for off hour bookings. So I’m officially open for business! For the next week or so it will be for appointments only, but fear not, the Betty mobile will be trolling […]
Transmission, a film I worked on in Toronto for the CFC won a Gold Remi Award at the Worldfest Houston International Film Festival! The crew and cast were phenomenal and, although I missed the opening screening because of work here in NY I’ve heard nothing but good things about it. I was assisting the ever talented Friskey Brown who is probably the most adorable makeup artist you could ever meet. In addition to actor makeup I was lucky enough to […]
So shooting wrapped last week on Pidge and despite the hours laying on a basement floor with my hand up Pidge’s ass it was awesome and a lot of fun. He turned out really well, and his translucent quality looked great under the lights. I took some test video of a few of his mechanics. The breathing is pump actioned and the eyes are puppet controlled. He also had a puppet controlled lower jaw and 6 points of animatronic movement […]
Ive been partial to making fun cakes for friends birthdays, and I got excited and made a Snivy Pokemon cake for my awesome illustrator friend Smo. In the past i’ve made PBR beer can cakes an awesome cyclops squid and greenman. This is by far my favorite so far so I thought I’d share it. I made a vegan (for smo) and gluten free (for me) chocolate cake with Bob’s Red Mill gluten free chocolate cake mix with an egg […]
So the phrase kickstarter has come up a lot in my life lately. I’ve been considering one for the cab company, but this one is for an awesome short that I’m working on. I was approached by Nick Guldner about making an animatronic creature for the short “Pidge” he’s directing. I was intrigued by the story and am always down for making gross blob creatures that eat pigeons… The photo is a work in progress shot of the creature sans […]
Now that the snows melted its time to get going on my car service for women. My friend and graphic designer George Lamontagne has been killing it and I’m so happy with the final designs. The next step is my website which is being done by the creator of Indie Rock Media Michael Lythcott. Have I mentioned my friends are awesome! I’m also getting my car fixed up and vinyl wrapped so I can drive ladies around in hybrid style.
